Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Jake's Home Services (“we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website, request service, join Home Care 360 or communicate with us. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us and a small amount of technical information:

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address (if you give one) and service address.
  • Service and membership details: what you need done, the systems in your home, add-ons you choose, and who referred you.
  • Payment details: handled by our payment providers (see below). We do not store full card numbers on this website.
  • Messages: your texts and emails with us, and your opt-in or opt-out choices.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • respond to your request, schedule and perform service, and follow up afterward;
  • provide and bill your Home Care 360 membership;
  • send appointment updates, membership reminders and, if you opted in, offers (see our SMS Terms);
  • keep records, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal and tax obligations;
  • improve our website and services.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run our business, with service providers who act for us, such as:

  • our website host and form-handling provider (Netlify), which receives the details you submit through our forms;
  • our payment and invoicing providers; Payments are processed by third-party providers, currently Jobber and Payzer (a service of WEX). Card and bank details are entered on the provider's own pages and are handled under its terms and privacy policy.
  • phone, text and email service providers that deliver our messages;
  • professional advisors, and authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile number or text opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website; it sets cookies and collects information such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. We do not use advertising cookies. Links to Google (for reviews, maps and directions) and to our payment provider open on their own sites, which have their own privacy practices.

Text and email messages

If you opt in, we send text messages and emails as described in our SMS Terms. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Marketing messages are no more than one a week and never after hours.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Call us or write to the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some records, for example for tax or warranty purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above, including to honor warranties and meet legal and tax requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is for adults who own or manage a home. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date below shows the current version.
