Mini split unit will not heat or cool
A wrong mode, a clogged filter, a drain problem, a power issue or a failed part can keep a mini split from heating or cooling the room.
Water leaking from the indoor unit
A clogged drain is a common cause. Turn the unit off so it does not keep dripping, and call us.
Ice on the indoor or outdoor unit
Restricted airflow or a refrigerant problem often causes ice. Turn the unit off, let it thaw, and call us if it ices up again or will not heat or cool.
New noises or a bad smell
Rattling, squealing or a smell that was not there before is worth a look before it becomes a bigger failure. If you smell burning, turn the unit off and call us. If you see smoke or fire, leave the home and call 911.
One room is fine and another is not

We work to get a technician to you the same day when we can. Home Care 360 members go to the front of the line when the schedule fills up. After hours we take emergency calls for no heat, no cooling and water leaks. - The technician finds the cause
The technician starts with the indoor unit, the filter and the setting on the remote or thermostat, then checks the outdoor unit, the drain and the power to the unit to find out why it is not heating or cooling. - You get the options and a firm price

What is the difference between a single-zone and a multi-zone mini split?

Can a mini split heat and cool?
A mini split heat pump does both. It cools in warm weather and heats in cold weather, without ductwork. Call us and tell us what the room needs.

Does a mini split installation need electrical work?
Sometimes the room needs a new circuit. Electrical work is part of what our team does. We will look at the panel and explain what the job involves before any work starts.
What should I check before I call?
Make sure the remote or thermostat is set to the mode you want and has batteries if it uses them, the indoor filter is not clogged, and the breaker for the unit is on. If it still will not heat or cool, call us.
