Common plumbing problems we fix
Not sure which one you have? Call and describe it. We will help you figure out what to do next.
Slow drains and recurring clogs
A drain that keeps backing up usually has a blockage that a plunger will not reach.
Leaks and damp spots
Dripping fixtures, a wet cabinet, a stained ceiling or a water bill that suddenly jumps can all point to a leak.
No hot water, or a noisy water heater
Sediment, a failed element or burner, or a tank at the end of its life can leave you with cold showers or rumbling noises.
Water heater leaking
A leaking tank usually means replacement. Shut off the water to the heater and call us.
Low water pressure
Pressure problems can come from a fixture, a partly closed valve or a problem in the supply line.
Running toilets and dripping faucets
Worn parts waste water and add up on the bill, and they are usually quick to fix.
Sewer or water line problems
Backups in more than one drain, soggy spots in the yard or a drop in water pressure can point to a line problem.
Gas piping
Gas appliance connections and gas line work, handled with safety first.
Fixture, toilet and faucet replacement
Replacing old or damaged fixtures so they work right and do not leak.
What to expect on a plumbing visit
- You call or request service online
Call 423-948-8016 (Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM) or send the request form. Tell us what the system is doing, any noises, smells or error codes, and roughly how old the equipment is. - We line up your visit
We work to get a technician to you the same day when we can. Home Care 360 members go to the front of the line when the schedule fills up. After hours we take emergency calls for no heat, no cooling and water leaks. - The technician finds the cause
The technician locates the source of the problem by checking the fixtures, shut-off valves, supply and drain lines, or the water heater, depending on what you have described. - You get the options and a firm price
We explain what we found in plain language, give you a firm price, and you approve it before any work starts. The service call is $99 on weekdays and $149 after hours (waived if you buy the job). Home Care 360 members pay no weekday dispatch fee. - We do the work
Once you approve, we make the repair or do the replacement you chose. If a repair does not make sense, we will say so. - We clean up and check the result
Then we clean up and make sure you are comfortable with the result before we go.
Plumbing service in Erwin and nearby towns
Homes across Unicoi County and the Tri-Cities range from newer builds to older houses with older pipes and fixtures, and many homes outside town are on well water rather than city water. Well water can carry sediment or minerals that wear on water heaters and fixtures, so tell us if you are on a well when you call. In cold snaps, pipes can freeze, so know where your main water shut-off is before you need it.
Repair or replace?
For a water heater, age, leaks, rust-colored water and the cost of repair all matter. We will check it and tell you whether a repair or a replacement makes sense.
Plumbing FAQ
How do I know if my water heater needs replacing?
Age, leaks, rust-colored water and noise are common signs. We will check it and tell you whether repair or replacement makes sense.
Can you fix a leak the same day?
During business hours, Monday to Friday 7 AM to 4 PM, call us and we will work to get a technician to you the same day. For a water leak after hours, call us: we take after-hours emergency calls for water leaks. In the meantime, shut off your main water valve.
What should I do if a pipe bursts?
Shut off the main water valve right away. Stay away from standing water near outlets, cords or appliances, then call us. After hours, we take emergency calls for water leaks.
What does a plumbing service call cost?
The service call is $99 on weekdays and $149 after hours (waived if you buy the job). Home Care 360 members pay no weekday dispatch fee. You get a firm price for any repair or replacement and approve it before work starts.
Do you work on water heaters?

Do you repair sewer and water lines?
Yes. Sewer line and water line repair and replacement are on our plumbing list. Call us and describe what you are seeing.
I am on well water. Does that matter?
It can. Well water can carry sediment or minerals that build up in water heaters and fixtures. Tell us when you call and we will keep it in mind when we check your system.
Why is my water pressure low?
It can be a single fixture, a partly closed valve or a problem in a supply line. If it is only one faucet, the aerator may be clogged. If it is the whole house, call us.
