Sewer and water line

Sewer & Water Line Repair

Main sewer line backups, sewer repair and replacement, camera inspection, hydro jetting, and water service line leaks.

A main sewer backup usually shows up in more than one drain, not just one sink.

We repair and replace sewer lines and water service lines, inspect sewer lines with a camera, and clear blockages with hydro jetting. Water running when every faucet is off, a wet spot in the yard, or a burst pipe are reasons to call.

Signs you need a call

  • More than one drain is backing up, or a tub or shower fills when you run another fixture
  • A wet spot in the yard, or a water bill that jumps with no change in how you use water
  • You hear water running when every faucet and toilet is off
  • A pipe is broken or burst, or water is where it should not be

Common sewer and water line problems we fix

Not sure which one you have? Call and describe it. We will help you figure out what to do next.

Main sewer line backup

More than one drain backing up, or sewage rising into a tub, shower, or the house, often points to the main sewer line rather than one sink. Sewage backing up into the house after hours is an emergency, the same as a water leak.

A single slow drain

One slow sink, or a clogged line with no backup into the house, is scheduled Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. If other drains are fine, tell us that so we start in the right place.

Camera inspection of a sewer line

We run a camera through the sewer line to see what is in it, then explain what we found before we recommend a repair or a replacement.

Hydro jetting

Hydro jetting washes a blockage out of a sewer line with water under pressure. Call us and describe the backup, and we will tell you whether that is the right next step.

Water service line leak

A wet spot in the yard, low pressure through the whole house, or a water bill that jumps can point to a leak in the line from the meter to the house.

The sound of water running

If you hear water running when every faucet, toilet, and appliance is off, that can be a leak. Call us and we will help you track it down.

Broken or burst pipe

Shut off the main water valve. Stay away from standing water near outlets, cords, or appliances, then call us. A burst pipe is a water-leak call, including after hours.

Repair or replace the line

When a sewer line or water line keeps failing, we explain whether a repair or a replacement makes sense and give you a firm price before any work starts.

What to expect on a sewer and water line visit

  1. You call or request service online
Call 423-948-8016 (Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM) or send the request form. Tell us what the system is doing, any noises, smells or error codes, and roughly how old the equipment is.
  2. We line up your visit
We work to get a technician to you the same day when we can. Home Care 360 members go to the front of the line when the schedule fills up. After hours we take emergency calls for no heat, no cooling and water leaks.
  3. The technician finds the cause
The technician finds out whether the problem is one fixture or the main line, then checks where the sewer line can be opened, the sewer line itself, or the water service line, depending on what you described.
  4. You get the options and a firm price
We explain what we found in plain language, give you a firm price, and you approve it before any work starts. The service call is $99 on weekdays and $149 after hours (waived if you buy the job). Home Care 360 members pay no weekday dispatch fee.
  5. We do the work
Once you approve, we make the repair or do the replacement you chose. If a repair does not make sense, we will say so.
  6. We clean up and check the result
Then we clean up and make sure you are comfortable with the result before we go.

Sewer and water line FAQ

What does a main sewer backup look like?

It usually shows up in more than one drain. Water may rise in a tub, shower, or floor drain when you run water somewhere else. One slow sink, with every other drain working, is more often a clog in that fixture.

Do you repair and replace sewer lines?

Yes. Sewer line repair and replacement, including the main line, is part of this work. We explain what we found and give you a firm price before any work starts.

Do you inspect sewer lines with a camera?

Yes. We inspect sewer lines with a camera, then explain what we found before we recommend a repair or a replacement.

Do you hydro jet sewer lines?

Yes. Hydro jetting clears a sewer line by washing the blockage out with water under pressure. Call us, describe the backup, and we will tell you whether that fits.

Do you repair water service line leaks?

Yes. We repair and replace water service lines. A wet spot in the yard, low pressure in the whole house, a jumping water bill, or the sound of water running when everything is off are reasons to call.

What should I do if a pipe bursts?

Shut off the main water valve right away. Stay away from standing water near outlets, cords, or appliances, then call us. After hours, we take emergency calls for water leaks.

Is sewage backing up into the house an after-hours call?

Yes. Sewage backing up into the house after hours is an emergency, the same as a water leak. The after-hours fee is $149, and it is waived if you buy the job. Call 423-948-8016. A slow or clogged sewer line with no backup into the house is scheduled Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM.

What does a sewer or water line service call cost?

The service call is $99 on weekdays and $149 after hours (waived if you buy the job). Home Care 360 members pay no weekday dispatch fee. You get a firm price for any repair or replacement and approve it before work starts.
